Panauti Mahatsov 2068 was inaugrated by chief guest Vice Chairman of National Planning Comission Hon. Dr. Dinesh Chandra Devkota at the premises of Indreswor Temple on 25 August. The festival was organised by Panauti Municipality on the initiation of Panauti Promotion Centre & promoted by Kavre Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Nepal Tourism Board. According to organizer this event was organised to promote the culture heritage of this area to increase tourism. Chief District Officer of Kavrepalanchok District Mr. Rudra Nath Basyal, Member of Constitutional assembly Mr. Akal Bdr. Thing addressed the ceremony. Around 300,000 people visited the festival in two days. The event was attended by Mr. Prachanda Man Shrestha, Chairman of Nepal Tourism Board. Devi Nach, Lakhe Nach, Khaijadi, Yomari are attraction of the event. The event was conducted for around NRs. 600,000 Panauti Municipality had supported NRs. 250,000.
Panauti Promotion Cente organised the heritage walk the promotion of Panauti Mahatsov 2011. The walk program was inaugurated by the Yamlal Adhikari, Chief of Panauti Municipality. Around 500 people from and around Panauti participated in the walk. Diyesh Ratna Shakya, president of Kavre Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chief of Panauti Municipality Mr. Yamlal Adhikari appeal the citizen of Panauti for the initiation of Panauti Mahatsov to be held on Bhadra 9 & 10. The program was guided by Situ sainju and program was formally closed by program coordinator Prasant Shrestha.
On the new era 1131 hamro panauti- for preservation & promotion has launched its first issue of bulletin namely "hamro panauti-quaterly bulletin" . The bulletin was formerly inaugurated by the president of hamro panauti, situ sainju and the president of Panauti Tourism Development Board, suresh sainju. The bulletin was focused on the cultural and heritage side. This team published this bulletin to advocate for the preservation & promotion of culture hearitage & ecology with the motto "culture & heritage in youth hand".
With the slogan "re-use of books to educating children", ILBS Nepal organised the Children helping children live music concert at Panauti dabali on the auspecious occasion of New Year NS 1131. To spread the message for re-use of books and to develop the feeling in child to help another child, this concert was organised said the organiser. The pogram was supported by P3RAM Group and hamro panauti team(www.hamropanauti.com.np).
The members of Jamghat & Company rocked the audience with varities of tracks, some were created by themselve and some were popular Nepali Pops & Flok. The musical program was made more rocking with the vives of Dhime (traditional Newari Drum) by small local Chilren.
Today oct 10 2010, through out the globe people celebrated a day against the climate change and global warming. Today's program was highly supported by the organization named 350.org. when such enthusiasm was in the air how could Panauti be far from it.So to cherish such remarkable day a small gathering was held in the premises of Indreswor Mahadev which was organised by hamro panauti-for preservation and promoton in collaboration with ILBS and P3RAM group along with representatives from NYCA.
The program was started off with a initiation fight against the environmental degradation and to promote ecological aspect of our city along with the religious and culture and ended with the commitment that everyone will support and work to achieve the aim!
The aim of today's gathering was to spread the message of how gradual speeding increment of level of carbon dioxide is hampering our environment and health. According to scientists the level of carbon dioxide in present context is 392 ppm whereas it should have been below 350 ppm, and still the level is continuing to rise at the rate of 2 ppm per year. So this campaign is to alert everyone about the consequences that we are suffering such as unusual rainfall, drought, global warming etc and of such similar problem that are yet to be seen if proper steps are not taken against it at a proper time.
